The brand started with a sketch book, some water-color and a passion for gem-stones. The first prototype was fabricated on Katherine’s kitchen table in her small NYC apartment, where she lived with her beloved house-rabbit Matthew…the inspiration behind the Brand. Over ten years, the brand has been very fortunate to have grown world-wide, and works with a roster of world-renowned designers, celebrities, and inspiring home owners. The brand has been featured in Vogue, Elle Décor, Harpers Bazaar, the Financial Times among others.
Projects span the globe, and include distinguished homes, hotels, and retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman, Kate Spade and Tory Burch.
Katherine got introduced to gem-stones as a teenager, while working in a gem shop- this began a lifelong passion to study, and learn about the energetic properties of the crystal realm. Her knowledge of gemstones has led her to work with energy and healing practitioners including Reiki Masters, and Shamans among others in the metaphysical and design community alike. Katherine has travelled the world sourcing unique gems, and materials.
Katherine started her career at a Madison Avenue boutique interior design firm, and later went on to spend much of her storied career in lighting and manufacturing. She has held the titles of Director of Oxygen Lighting, Global Sales Manager at Baldinger Lighting, Luceplan Lighitng and Kartell. Katherine has also served as an adjunct professor at NYSID Graduate Lighting Department. She currently lives in Harlem NY with her daughter Quinn and dog Winston.
“I am most proud that so many designers tell me the product feels like art, and has great energy.”
